Zusammenfassung
Die Mediastinoskopie ist immer noch der „Goldstandard“ in der Abklärung des mediastinalen Lymphknotenbefalls mit einer Sensitivät >90 % und Spezifität von 100 %, daher besteht die Indikation, wenn andere Verfahren nicht geeignet oder sensitiv genug sind, die histopathologische Diagnose zu stellen. Das Vorgehen bei einer Mediastinoskopie wird in diesem Kapitel ebenso erörtert wie die speziellen anästhesiologischen Herausforderungen.
