Zusammenfassung
Die häufigste Operation am vorderen Augenabschnitt ist die Kataraktoperation, bei der die getrübte Linse aus dem Auge abgesaugt wird und durch eine faltbare Kunstlinse ersetzt wird. Der Eingriff wird typischerweise in Lokalanästhesie durchgeführt. Glaukomoperationen dienen der Senkung des Augeninnendrucks und kommen zur Anwendung, wenn Medikamente keine ausreichende Drucksenkung erzielen oder wenn sie kontraindiziert sind. Die Hornhautübertragung dient dem vollständigen Ersatz der Cornea, wird aber auch zunehmend lamellär eingesetzt. Die Keratoplastik wird häufig in Allgemeinanästhesie durchgeführt.
