Zusammenfassung
Psychische Störungen sind komplexe Erkrankungen, die sich nicht alleine auf biologische, soziale oder psychologische Ursachen zurückführen lassen. Entsprechend hat sich bei vielen psychischen Störungen die Kombination aus Pharmakotherapie und Psychotherapie als eindeutig besser herausgestellt als die jeweiligen Monotherapien. Psychotherapie verändert nicht nur die subjektive Seite, das Denken und Verhalten im Rahmen einer Störung, sondern auch neurobiologische Prozesse. Gleichzeitig wissen wir, dass eine Pharmakotherapie die Funktionsweise neuronaler Systeme moduliert und damit auch das Erleben, Denken und Verhalten verändert. Psychotherapie und Pharmakotherapie wirken auf unterschiedliche Systeme ein und tragen so gemeinsam zur Besserung und Heilung bei.
