FormalPara DefinitionHämatologischer Wachstumsfaktor, der die Proliferation myeloischer determinierter Vorläuferzellen und deren Ausdifferenzierung zu neutrophilen Granulozyten stimuliert.
FormalPara BeschreibungG-CSF ist ein Polypeptid und Mitglied der Familie der hämatologischen Wachstumsfaktoren mit einer Molmasse von 19,6 kDa. Das Gen von G-CSF ist auf dem Chromosom 17 lokalisiert und wird von Makrophagen, Endothelzellen und Fibroblasten synthetisiert. In vitro stimuliert G-CSF die Formation von granulozytären Kolonien. In vivo stimuliert G-CSF überwiegend die CFU-GM-Vorläuferzellen zur Ausreifung in Richtung der granulopoetischen Vorläuferzelle (CFU-G) und deren weiteren Ausreifung. Darüber hinaus ist G-CSF ein potenter Aktivator der neutrophilen Granulozyten.
