Abstract
There is a variety of complications that may occur with liposuction. The author discusses these complications including causation, presentation, diagnosis, and treatment. Some of these complications are asymmetry, fat embolism, lidocaine toxicity, pulmonary edema, perforation of vessel or organ, bleeding or hematoma, chronic edema, toxic shock syndrome, thromboembolism, fibrosis, mass, infection, and possible need for further surgery.
