Zusammenfassung
Wir diskutieren eine bemerkenswerte Zahl von Parallelen zwischen organisationalen Karriereentwicklungs- bzw. Laufbahnsystemen und den Aktivitäten von Begabtenförderungswerken, insbesondere Hochbegabtenstiftungen. Hierzu zählen u. a. die frühe Identifikation von Potenzialträgern, Maßnahmen zum Kompetenzaufbau, zur Persönlichkeitsentwicklung und zur Weiterbildung (Trainings, Workshops, Seminare, Projektarbeit), Mentoring und die Unterstützung von Networking. Daher bezeichnen wir Begabtenförderungswerke als öffentliche Karriereentwicklungssysteme. Diese fruchtbare Analogie hilft, sowohl die Intention hinter spezifischen Maßnahmen organisationaler Karriereentwicklungssysteme als auch der Aktivitäten von Hochbegabtenstiftungen besser zu verstehen. Des Weiteren analysieren wir die Evaluierbarkeit von öffentlichen Karriereentwicklungssystemen und diskutieren, ob eine Übertragung von Maßnahmen aus dem organisationalen Bereich in den öffentlichen Bereich rechtfertigbar und empirisch begründbar ist.
