Zusammenfassung
Die Entwicklung globalisierter Zuliefererketten bringt neue Risiken mit sich. Aus diesen internationalisierten Produktionsnetzwerken ergeben sich weiterführende kulturelle, rechtliche, sprachliche und politische Herausforderungen in der Zusammenarbeit. Auch Umweltfragen wie Abfall- und Emissionsreduzierung, Recyclingzyklen sowie soziale Aspekte wie Kinderarbeit, allgemeine Arbeitsbedingungen und Korruption spielen hierbei eine große Rolle. Während das Engagement für umweltspezifische und soziale Standards zuvor spezialisierten Anbietern eine Vorreiterrolle gesichert hat, ist die Implementierung dieser für die globalen Lieferantenketten mittlerweile unverzichtbar. Die Komplexität der globalisierten Lieferketten steigert sich kontinuierlich. Aufbauend auf den Ergebnissen einer empirischen Erhebung analysiert dieser Beitrag interne und externe Einflussfaktoren, die bei der Implementierung von Umwelt- und Sozialstandards zu berücksichtigen sind, um erfolgreiche Mechanismen und Strukturen zu deren Implementierung abzuleiten.
