Zusammenfassung
Nach der Diagnose einer potenziell lebensbedrohlichen Erkrankung treten die eigene Körperwahrnehmung und die Sexualität vorübergehend in den Hintergrund. Die Prognose gynäkologischer Malignome konnte jedoch in den letzten Jahren entscheidend gesenkt werden und eine Krebserkrankung kann in vielen Fällen geheilt werden oder gilt zumindest zunehmend als chronische Erkrankung. Durch diese Errungenschaften tritt nun vermehrt die Lebensqualität der Patientinnen in den Fokus. Bis zu 90% der Patientinnen mit einer gynäkologischen Krebsdiagnose berichten über negative Auswirkungen der Erkrankung und der Therapie auf ihr Sexualleben. Dennoch werden maximal 10–28% der Frauen von ihren betreuenden Ärzten in der Klinik darüber aufgeklärt bzw. informiert. Als sexuelle Funktionsstörung werden alle Beeinträchtigungen der Sexualität bezeichnet. In unterschiedlichem Maße beeinträchtigt sowohl die operative als auch die systemische Therapie die Durchführung des Geschlechtsakts und das Lusterleben.
