Zusammenfassung
Ein Aspekt der nachhaltigen Wirtschaft besteht darin, sicherzustellen, dass Produktion und Konsum weltweit mit den Zielen des Umweltschutzes vereinbar sind. Dies erfordert die Abkehr vom vorherrschenden Modell „Produzieren-Verkaufen-Nutzen-Entsorgen“ hin zu einem Modell, das die Nutzungsphase verlängert, die Verkaufsphase um neue Geschäftsmodelle erweitert und Abfall in wertvollen Input für die Produktion umwandelt – die Kreislaufwirtschaft. Die Logistikbranche spielt hierbei eine wesentliche Rolle als „Möglichmacher“ der entsprechenden Lieferkreisläufe. Besonders einflussreich kann sich die Kreislaufwirtschaft dabei in der Mode- und Unterhaltungselektronikindustrie zeigen, da diese Branchen einen hohen Ausstoß von Treibhausgasemissionen verursachen sowie allgemein starke Auswirkungen auf die Umwelt haben. Die entscheidenden Dimensionen der Kreislaufwirtschaft bilden die 5R: Verringerung des Einsatzes von Neumaterialien (Reduce), Reparatur von Produkten zur Verlängerung ihrer ersten Lebensdauer (Repair), Aufarbeitung älterer Produkte (Refurbish), der Wiederverkauf von Produkten (Resell) sowie das Recycling von Produkten am Ende ihrer Lebensdauer (Recycle). Auf dieser Grundlage konnten 3 Treiber und 10 Bausteine identifiziert werden, die den erfolgreichen Übergang zur Kreislaufwirtschaft ermöglichen.
