Zusammenfassung
Dieser Beitrag zum Sammelband argumentiert im weitesten Sinne für die Einbeziehung von feministischen und gendergerechten Formen der Wissensproduktion und des muslimsischen Aktivismus in das Spektrum des Islam and der muslimischen Gemeinschaften/Gesellschaften. Am Beispiel von muslimischen Aktivist:innen und Wissenschaftler:innen in den USA beschreibt und analysiert er, wie der Begriff der Gerechtigkeit aufgegriffen und diskutiert wird um, in einem Klima der Islamfeindlichkeit und des anti-muslimischen Rassismus, aus der Interpretation der islamischen Tradition heraus die Notwendigkeit von gesellschaftlichen Veränderungen zu legitimieren.
