Zusammenfassung
Bei allen Umfragen (Reinecke, Kapitel 62 in diesem Band) entstehen neben den eigentlichen Umfragedaten auch Daten durch den Erhebungsprozess. Dazu gehören z.B. bei computergestützten Erhebungen Zeitmarken bei der Eingabe von Antworten, mit der die Dauer für die Beantwortung einer Frage bestimmt werden kann, oder automatisch aufgenommene Maus-Bewegungen in einem Websurvey. In einem Vortrag auf dem Joint Statistical Meeting der Amerikanischen Statistischen Gesellschaft 1998 in Dallas prägte Mick Couper für diese Art von Daten den Begriff Paradaten (Couper 1998).
