Abstract
Nursing is challenged by the demographical and societal change. At the same time AR-applications are continuously being developed. Furthermore, current research according to AR in nursing focusses on prototypical devices and technical challenges. This qualitative study aims to explore professional requirements for AR-applications in nursing. Collected data can be summarized under the headings improvement of daily work, smart glasses in direct patient contact, acceptance, competence, structural requirements and design. These requirements can be used as a basis for future developments in the field of AR in nursing. In addition to this, participatory design and ethical evaluation should be used to gather requirements for the specific device.
