Gordon Pasks An Approach to Cybernetics ist 1961 veröffentlicht worden. In diesem kurzen, aber prägnanten Buch wird ein früher Stand der Kybernetik überzeugend auf den Begriff gebracht und werden viele spätere Entwicklungen einschließlich Pasks eigener Konversationsanlyse und des Übergangs zu einer Kybernetik zweiter Ordnung vorweggenommen.
