Zusammenfassung
Das Kapitel gibt einen Überblick über Theorien, die im sportbezogenen Handlungsverlauf Prozesse der Motivation und Volition (Selbstkontrolle) erklären. Für den Bereich der Motivation wird in Motivtheorien zur Energetisierung von Verhalten und Wahrnehmungsorientierung, Theorien zum Anreiz von Tätigkeiten, Ergebnissen oder Folgen im Sport (z. B. Zielsetzungs- und Zielorientierungstheorien, Attributionstheorie, Gestaltung des motivationalen Klimas, Förderung intrinsischer Motivation) eingeführt. Im Bereich Volition im Sport werden Theorien der Handlungskontrolle, des Ressourcenmanagements (Kraftspeichermodell), der förderlichen Formulierung von Durchführungsintentionen sowie der Unterstützung von Selbstwirksamkeitserwartungen erläutert. Zu den jeweiligen Theorien werden Beispielstudien und Messinstrumente vorgestellt.
