Zusammenfassung
Der Artikel gibt einen Überblick über unterschiedliche Themenfelder der Wirtschaftssoziologie, die u. a. die Bedeutung von Netzwerken, Institutionen, Normen, Kognitionen und Gruppenkonflikten für die Ausformung von Märkten, Unternehmen und ökonomischen Praktiken betont. Anhand der Kontrastierung des Paradigmas der sozialen Einbettung von Märkten mit einer stärker konstruktivistisch und systemtheoretisch geprägten Betrachtungsweise der Ökonomie wird herausgearbeitet, welche Rolle dabei jeweils der Vergangenheit zukommt. Dabei zeigt sich, dass die sozialtheoretischen Differenzen innerhalb der aktuellen Wirtschaftssoziologie sich an der Frage festmachen lassen, ob das soziale Gedächtnis der Ökonomie aus ökonomisch-monetären oder nicht-ökonomischen Deutungsmustern besteht.
