Zusammenfassung
Ein zentraler Belastungsfaktor der Dienstleistungs- und Wissensarbeit ist eine zunehmende Arbeitsintensität. In diesem Beitrag werden zunächst die möglichen Folgen einer hohen Arbeitsintensität auf die körperliche und psychische Gesundheit der Mitarbeitenden (z. B. Erschöpfung, psychosomatische Beschwerden, Depressionen und Angst) und der daraus resultierende Handlungsbedarf für Unternehmen thematisiert. Anschließend werden arbeitswissenschaftliche Gestaltungsempfehlungen im Umgang mit einer hohen Arbeitsintensität dargestellt.
Kern des Beitrags ist die Vorstellung eines partizipatorischen Vorgehensmodells für die Entwicklung von Gestaltungsansätzen im Umgang mit einer hohen Arbeitsintensität in der betrieblichen Praxis. Dieses Verfahren wurde in Unternehmen praktisch erprobt und hat sich als hilfreiches Instrument für betriebliche Akteure bewährt.
