Zusammenfassung
Musik und Werbung sind auf viele Arten und Weisen miteinander verbunden. Der vorliegende Artikel entwirft eine Typologie verschiedener Forschungsfelder rund um Musik und Werbung. Es wird kategorisiert, auf welche Arten und Weisen Musik und Werbung zueinander in Beziehung stehen oder zusammenwirken und welche Erscheinungsformen der Beziehung konkret beobachtet werden können. Vier Kategorien werden aufgespannt: Werbung mit Musik, Werbung für Musik, Werbung mit Musikern und Musik mit Werbung. Diese Typologie erhebt keinen Anspruch auf Vollständigkeit und auf scharfe Abgrenzbarkeit und kann naturgemäß nur einen Status quo darstellen. Sie soll helfen, die wissenschaftliche Beschäftigung mit dem Feld voranzutreiben und zu systematisieren. Dazu dienen unter anderem die Darstellung verschiedener wichtiger Forschungsergebnisse sowie die Identifikation von Forschungslücken zu jeder Kategorie.
