Zusammenfassung

Der Beitrag thematisiert die Wechselbeziehungen zwischen Einwanderung und den Wohlfahrtsstaaten der Zielländer. Dabei wird die relevante Literatur in ökonomische, sozialpsychologische, soziologische und politikwissenschaftliche Studien unterteilt. Obwohl die genannten Disziplinen in einem engen theoretischen Austausch stehen, befassen sie sich mit ganz unterschiedlichen Facetten des Forschungsgegenstands. Der Beitrag führt daher sowohl in die arbeitsmarktbezogenen und fiskalischen Effekte von Einwanderung, Wohlfahrtstaaten als „Migrationsmagneten“, die Auswirkungen von Immigration auf die individuelle wohlfahrtsstaatliche Unterstützung der nativen Bevölkerung und in das Spannungsfeld zwischen Zuwanderung und wohlfahrtsstaatlicher Kürzungspolitik ein.
