Zusammenfassung
Das Konzept der Innovationssysteme befasst sich mit den institutionellen und technologischen Bestimmungsgründen der Wettbewerbs- und Innovationsfähigkeit von Unternehmen und Branchen im regionalen bzw. nationalen Kontext. Als Innovationssysteme werden territorial verankerte Netzwerke von Unternehmen, Forschungseinrichtungen, Hochschulen, Finanzakteuren und staatlichen Organen bezeichnet, die sich wechselseitig unterstützend an der Generierung, Modifizierung und Diffusion neuer Technologien beteiligen. Technologische Innovationen entstehen demnach vornehmlich aus den interaktiven Lernprozessen der systemisch vernetzten Akteure in regionalen bzw. nationalen Innovationssystemen. Das dieser Perspektive eigene Forschungsinteresse beinhaltet einen politische Gestaltungsanspruch, der in aktuellen innovationspolitischen Diskussionen zum Ausdruck kommt.
