Zusammenfassung

Das Recht auf Gesundheit, das 1946 erstmalig in der Verfassung der Weltgesundheitsorganisation (WHO) verankert wurde, ist seitdem in den wichtigsten internationalen und regionalen Menschenrechtsinstrumenten als fundamentales Menschenrecht anerkannt und ausgebaut worden. Während sich Gesundheit selbstverständlich nicht einklagen lässt, enthält das Menschenrecht auf Gesundheit bestimmte gesetzlich durchsetzbare Bestandteile. Behinderte Menschen erfahren im Bereich der Gesundheit vielfältige Diskriminierungen. Im Beitrag werden fünf Kernthemen näher betrachtet: Modelle von Behinderung, Diskriminierung, Zwang, Prävention und Reproduktionsautonomie. Aus den Ausführungen werden aus menschenrechtlicher Sicht Anforderungen an professionelles Handeln in der Behindertenarbeit abgeleitet.
