Zusammenfassung
Individuelle Mobilität, gesetzliche Vorgaben zur Verbrauchs- und Emissionsreduzierung, steigende Anforderungen der Kunden an Komfort und Sicherheit sowie der Wettbewerbsdruck wirken sich auf die Entwicklung von Personenkraftwagen aus. Insbesondere die Forderung nach verringertem Kraftstoffverbrauch bei mindestens gleichbleibender Insassensicherheit kann durch innovative Leichtbaustrategien erfüllt werden. Hierbei führt der Einsatz unterschiedlicher Werkstoffe an gezielten Positionen (Stoffleichtbau), optimierte Kraftverteilung und –weiterleitung (Formleichtbau), Anpassung auf notwendige Anforderungen (Bedingungsleichtbau), umfangreiche Teile- und Funktionsintegration (Konzeptleichtbau), sowie verbesserte Eigenschaften infolge von gezielten Prozessen (Fertigungsleichtbau) zu einem Gewichtseinsparpotential von Bauteilen oder Baugruppen [3].
