Zusammenfassung
Zwischen 2015 und 2017 ist in Deutschland die Anzahl zugewanderter Menschen, und insbesondere jener mit jungen Kindern, stark angestiegen. Dies wirkt sich auf die demografische, sozioökonomische und ethnokulturelle Struktur der Gesellschaft aus. Insbesondere Bildungseinrichtungen stellt dies vor Herausforderungen. Mit einem Fokus auf neuzugewanderte Familien widmet sich dieser Beitrag dem Einfluss von Eltern auf die Bildungsbiografie ihrer Kinder. Aus einer ökosystemischen Perspektive nach Bronfenbrenner werden Befunde zu kindlichen Bildungsverläufen, der elterlichen Beteiligung an der Bildung ihrer Kinder und der ethno- bzw. soziokulturellen Zugehörigkeit von neuzugewanderten Familien betrachtet. Darauf aufbauend wird diskutiert, was bei der Planung von Bildungsangeboten zu berücksichtigen ist, um die Bildungsteilhabe und den Bildungserfolg neuzugewanderter Kinder frühzeitig und nachhaltig zu unterstützen.
