Zur Differenzierung von Handlungsfeldern im Coaching

Zusammenfassung

Regardless of our research efforts we seem far removed from consensus or clarity about the nature of coaching and an in-depth understanding of coaching and a conceptual underpinning to inform practice remains absent (Cushion/ Lyle, 2010). With increased research attention on coaching and yet little impact on practice or coach education, this chapter attempts to give an overview and critical evaluation of »what we currently know« about coaching. A critical examination of the field in terms of conceptual development, research direction and research evidence provides a framework to understand and bridge the »theory-practice« gap (Gilbert & Trudel, 2004a).
