Zusammenfassung
Der Jubilar, Herr Prof. Dr. Dieter Jacob, hat sich in Forschung und Praxis über viele Jahre hinweg mit Öffentlich Privaten Partnerschaften (ÖPP) auseinandergesetzt. Im Rahmen eines ÖPP-Projektes arbeitet die öffentliche Hand bei der Realisierung eines Infrastrukturprojektes mit privaten Partnern zusammen. Häufig handelt es sich um sehr langfristige Projekte wie Schulbauten, Straßen oder Brücken. Vor der Umsetzung eines öffentlichen Bauprojektes muss die Vorteilhaftigkeit des Vorhabens in einer Wirtschaftlichkeitsuntersuchung (WU) geprüft werden.
