Zusammenfassung

Griechenland hat seit 2010 einen beispiellosen wirtschaftlichen Einbruch erlebt, der zuerst durch die Weltwirtschaftskrise 2008 und die eigene hohe Staatsverschuldung bedingt war. Dies führte zu einem Anstieg der Zinsen auf Staatsanleihen, was wiederum die Zahlungsfähigkeit des Staates gefährdete. Dieser Einbruch wurde vertieft und verlängert durch die darauffolgende Krisenbearbeitungspolitik, die vorsah, Griechenland Kredite zur Aufrechterhaltung der Zahlungsfähigkeit zu gewähren. Dies geschah unter der Bedingung, dass sogenannte Konditionalitäten implementiert wurden.
