Schuldenkolonie Griechenland: Die EU als Imperium und Deutschlands Primat

Ein neuer Rahmen für die Interpretation der Krise in Südeuropa

Zusammenfassung

Die Krise in Europa bzw. in der ΕU ist nicht eindeutig das Ergebnis einer vorläufigen Störung der Kapitalakkumulation auf dem europäischen Kontinent oder etwa im Westen. Sie ist vielmehr das Resultat großer Veränderungen in der Welt, des Transfers von Reichtum und Macht vom Westen zum Südosten Asiens, der Unfähigkeit der EU-Führung, die Veränderungen in der Welt rechtzeitig zu erkennen – eine Unfähigkeit, die auch die herrschenden Gruppen in Griechenland stark durchdrungen hat (Κotzias 2011) –, der Umlenkungsstrategie von der Inflationspolitik zur Politik der Staatsschulden und schließlich des Anhäufens der privaten Schulden (Streeck 2013) – eine Umlenkung, die in Griechenland besonders stark betrieben wurde.

Nikos Kotzias ist seit dem 27.01.2015 amtierender Außenminister der Hellenischen Republik im Regierungskabinett von Ministerpräsident Alexis Tsipras. Er ist Professor für Politische Theorie und Internationale und Europäische Studien an der Universität Piräus. Dieser Beitrag stellt eine komprimierte Zusammenfassung seines Buches Griechenland: Schuldenkolonie. Europäisches Imperium und das deutsche Primat (Kotzias 2013) dar.
