Zusammenfassung
Statistiken zu den Überlebenschancen junger Unternehmen zeigen, dass die Sterbensrate junger Unternehmen in den ersten drei bis fünf Jahren besonders hoch ist (Zimmerman/ Zeitz 2000, S. 416). Es wird von einem Wert zwischen 40-50 % ausgegangen (Forsyth 2005, S. 429; van Praag 2003, S. 1; Bates 1995, S. 29). Allerdings gibt es im Gegenzug auch Hinweise darauf, dass einige Vorgehens- und Handlungsweisen dazu beitragen, diese zu verringern. Ein Beispiel hierfür sind Marketingaktivitäten (Gruber 2004b, S. 164). Im Speziellen wird mit diesem Kap. die Thematik Entrepreneurial Marketing angesprochen, das hier als Marketing von nicht etablierten Unternehmen definiert wird.
