Zusammenfassung

In der Sepsistherapie wird zwischen den kausalen antimikrobiellen bzw. operativ-interventionellen Maßnahmen zur Herdsanierung sowie den elementaren supportiven (organbezogenen) intensivmedizinischen Standardmaßnahmen und adjunktiven (potenziell zusätzlichen) therapeutischen Ansätzen unterschieden. Auf die wichtigsten dieser evidenzbasierten supportiven und adjunktiven Therapiemaßnahmen wird in diesem Beitrag eingegangen. Zeit ist der entscheidende Faktor: Die kausale Therapie muss umgehend, die supportive Therapie zur Wiederherstellung der Gewebsperfusion in der ersten Stunde nach Diagnosestellung und die adjunktive Therapie zusätzlich und parallel zur kausalen und supportiven Therapie innerhalb der ersten 24 h durchgeführt werden. Darüber hinaus ist die Prognose hinsichtlich Überleben und Lebensqualität nach Erleiden einer Sepsis thematisiert.
