Zusammenfassung

Von Polydaktylie spricht man bei überzähligen Fingern oder Fingeranteilen. Die Doppelungen können einfach und mit wenig Funktionsverlust sein oder aber komplex mit massiven Skelettveränderungen und Funktionsverlusten. Die Veränderungen betreffen nicht nur die Knochen, sondern es sind auch Sehnen, Sehnenscheiden, Ringbänder, Gelenke und Muskeln betroffen.
