Zusammenfassung

Schlafstörungen treten im Rahmen von Tumorerkrankungen und Tumortherapie häufig assoziiert mit Cancer-related Fatigue auf. Dabei stehen bei Tumorpatienten insbesondere Durchschlafstörungen, unruhiger Schlaf und nicht erholsamer Schlaf im Vordergrund. Untersuchungen zur Cancer-related Fatigue und zur Schlafqualität bei Tumorpatienten haben im letzten Jahrzehnt an methodologischer Qualität gewonnen, die verwendeten Fragebögen sind standardisiert und validiert, damit wachsen die Vergleichbarkeit und die Aussagekraft der Ergebnisse. Ebenso hat die Anzahl der klinischen Studien zum Schlaf bei Krebspatienten zugenommen. Die Erforschung von Zusammenhängen von gestörtem Schlaf, Cancer-related Fatigue und chronobiologischen Aspekten stellen vielversprechende Ansätze dar, die neben einer Verbesserung der Lebensqualität auch Chancen für eine Lebensverlängerung von Krebspatienten eröffnen können.
