Zusammenfassung

Durch Alkoholkonsum bedingte Veränderungen von Kognition, Verhalten und sozialer Interaktion zählen zu den häufigsten psychiatrischen Erkrankungen. Unter alkoholbedingten Störungen fasst man insbesondere Alkoholintoxikation, schädlichen Gebrauch, Alkoholabhängigkeit und assoziierte Syndrome wie Alkoholentzug, psychotische Störung, amnestisches Syndrom und andere psychische Störungen oder Verhaltensstörungen zusammen. Diese sowie auch internistische und neurologische Folgeerkrankungen des Alkoholkonsums führen dazu, dass Störungen durch Alkohol ein erhebliches medizinisches und soziales Problem darstellen. In Bezug auf die Ätiopathogenese der Alkoholerkrankung werden verschiedene soziale und lerntheoretische, aber auch genetische und biologische Theorien diskutiert. Entsprechend kommen in der Therapie unterschiedliche Ansätze zum Tragen, z. B. Psychotherapie, sozialpsychiatrische Maßnahmen oder/und Therapie mit Anti-Craving-Substanzen.
