Zusammenfassung

Der unwillkürliche Urinverlust ist für die Betroffenen gleichbedeutend mit einem Verlust an Lebensqualität. Die Dunkelziffer der nicht diagnostizierten und behandelten Fälle ist sicherlich sehr hoch, da der Gang zum Haus- bzw. Facharzt von vielen Patientinnen verzögert bzw. vollständig vermieden wird. Eine vollständige sowie einfühlsamen Anamnese, eine gründliche körperliche Befunderhebung, nichtinvasive diagnostische Maßnahmen (Miktionsprotokoll, Inkontinenzfragebögen) sowie apparative Untersuchungsmethoden (Urodynamik, Zystoskopie, Radiografie, Ultraschall, MRT) liefern die nötigen Informationen zur Diagnosefindung. Die Differenzierung verschiedener Harninkontinenzformen sowie Miktionsstörungen stellt aufgrund der zunehmenden Häufigkeit und Komplexität der Pathophysiologie der Harninkontinenz eine besondere Herausforderung dar, ist jedoch unerlässlich, um ein individuelles therapeutisches Konzept entwickeln zu können.
