Zusammenfassung

Seit der Erstbeschreibung vor über 300 Jahren hat sich an der Primärtherapie des Hodentumors wenig geändert. Bei der Ablatio testis geht es um die Eradikation des potenziell metastasierenden maligne entarteten Organs auf der einen und um die histologische Beweisführung für die weiterführende Therapie auf den anderen Seite. So werden weiterhin tradierte chirurgische Prinzipien eingesetzt, um hier eine schnelle und sichere diagnostische und therapeutische Maßnahme anbieten zu können.
