Im Jahr 2011 waren die Ausgaben der gesetzlichen Krankenversicherung (GKV) für Arzneimittel im Vergleich zum Vorjahr um 1,2 Mrd. bzw. 4,0% zurückgegangen und lagen bei 29,0 Mrd. Euro. 2012 lagen die Ausgaben bei 29,4 Mrd.
