Abstract

Microcontrollers and microprocessors are the central part of an embedded system. However, the display determines the system’s design, as it has demanding requirements in terms of (video) memory and data rate. In this chapter, the fundamentals of implementing displays into embedded systems are presented, including software approaches for the (graphical) user interface.
