Abstract

As regional positioning widely applied in wireless sensor networks, it attracts more and more attention in recent years. A regional positioning system based on ZigBee technology is designed and implemented in this paper, and different distance measurement methods is employed to explore the relationship between RSSI and distance. Through experiment, we can obtain the empirical value of RF parameter A and transmission parameter N. Using the least squares method for error correction in the distance fitting method. Error analysis for the positioning result shows the system can achieves a positioning accuracy of 2.21 m.
