Abstract
At the end of the twentieth century, the legislation of the Russian Federation underwent democratic change, which led to a significant expansion of the rights of citizens. At the present time, the norms of the Russian legislation comply with the international conventions for the protection of the rights of citizens.
These changes also affected the rights of citizens to the inviolability of the person, in terms of providing medical care. Citizens, who applied for medical help, have obtained the rights, which they never had in the history of the development of the country which include the right to personal integrity and the inviolability of private life.
This chapter analyzes current of legislation RE, designed to ensure the right of its citizens to the protection of confidential information. Given the norms of the law, it reviews the transfer of confidential patient information to third parties, without the permission of the patient.
Analysis of the obligations of medical workers, to observe the rights of citizens in the sphere of turnover of confidential information, as well as the responsibility for violation of the requirements of the law is provided.
