Abstract

Beijing is the capital of China, and also one of the most-visited cities in China. There is great exemplary significance to promote energy-saving and emission-reduction of Beijing tourism industry. According to the sum of three major consumption indicators in tourism – transportation, accommodation and activities, we can estimate that the total energy consumption of Beijing tourism is 36.07 PJ in 2008, about 8.32% of the energy consumption nationwide, which indicates that there is a great potential in energy-saving and emission-reduction in Beijing tourism.
