Zusammenfassung

Dieses Kapitel gibt einen kurzen Überblick über die wichtigsten anatomischen Strukturen der oberen Extremität. Die Anatomie in vivo beschreibt, wie die Körperstrukturen zu finden und zu tasten sind, denn das sichere Ertasten befähigt den Therapeuten zu deren genaueren Beurteilung und Behandlung. Die Palpation beginnt man grundsätzlich mit den knöchernen Referenzpunkten, dann geht man zu den passiven und aktiven Weichteilstrukturen über. Der Sichtbefund hilft in vielen Fällen schon, relevante zu palpierende Strukturen zu erkennen. Grundsätzlich wird die Palpation mit wenig Druck ausgeführt, vor allem dann, wenn die zu palpierenden Strukturen akut verletzt oder sehr irritierbar sind; in diesem Fall sollte zunächst eine Palpation auf Wärme und Schwellung erfolgen, um einen ersten Eindruck zu bekommen.
