Zusammenfassung
Seit Beginn der Sonografie in der Geburtshilfe versucht man, den Entwicklungsstand des Fetus zu beurteilen. Neben der Biometrie des Feten spielen die Bestimmung der Fruchtwassermenge und die Beurteilung der Plazentalokalisation eine wichtige Rolle. In der Frühschwangerschaft sind Scheitel-Steiß-Länge und biparietaler Durchmesser die wichtigsten fetalen Biometriemaße. Ab dem zweiten Trimenon ergänzt sich die Basisbiometrie durch den fronto-okzipitalen Durchmesser, den Kopfumfang, den Bauchumfang und die Femurlänge, um das Wachstum des Fetus zu beurteilen. Es gibt eine Vielzahl an Formeln zu fetalen Gewichtsschätzung. Die meisten basieren auf einem oder mehreren Maßen der Basisbiometrie. Allerdings sind sonografische Gewichtschätzungen vor allem am unteren und oberen Rand des fetalen Gewichtsbereichs nicht immer zuverlässig. Die Fruchtwassermenge kann mit Hilfe des Fruchtwasserindex, des tiefsten Fruchtwasserdepots, des zwei-Durchmesser-Fruchtwasserdepots oder durch subjektive Beurteilung bestimmt werden. Der normale Plazentasitz befindet sich im mittleren oder oberen Uterinsegment. Bei einer Lokalisation im unteren Segment liegt entweder eine tiefsitzende Plazenta oder eine Plazenta praevia vor.
