Abstract
Selection of grafting materials in rhinoplasty can be a challenging problem, particularly in patients with significant aesthetic and structural deficits of the nasal dorsum. In appropriately selected cases, split calvarial bone graft represents an ideal choice for modification of this nasal region. The authors discuss grafting considerations in rhinoplasty, clinical indications for split calvarial bone grafting, surgical considerations in preparation of the nasal recipient bed, surgical steps in calvarial bone graft harvesting, and complications and pitfalls.
