Pediatric and Adult MRI Atlas of Bone Marrow

Abstract

Bone marrow can be replaced by a number of neoplastic disorders, including leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and metastases. In the past, evaluation of bone marrow required invasive procedures such as biopsy or aspiration at the time of diagnosis and follow-up after treatment. MRI is an excellent noninvasive diagnostic modality demonstrating the presence and extent of pathologic bone marrow involvement.
