Zusammenfassung

Das letzte Gefecht zur See liegt ziemlich genau drei Jahrzehnte zurück. Im Krieg um die Hoheit über die Falkland-Inseln im Südatlantik standen sich 1982 die Flotten Argentiniens und des Vereinigten Königreichs gegenüber. Den kurzen Krieg konnte das Vereinigte Königreich für sich entscheiden, nicht zuletzt nachdem die Royal Navy das argentinische Kriegsschiff BELGRANO versenkt und damit die Kontrolle über die Seegebiete im Südatlantik erlangt hatte.
