Zusammenfassung
Zu seinem ersten, 2008 erschienenen Roman wurde der Autor durch den Völkermord in Ruanda veranlasst. Die Handlung ist in der Hauptstadt der Demokratischen Republik Kongo angesiedelt. Die Hauptfigur Célio Matemona, auch Célio Mathematik genannt, ist ein junger Kongolese, der seine erfolglose ‚selbstgebastelte‘ NGO aufgibt und eine hochbezahlte Anstellung im manipulatorischen Informations- und Planungsbüro des Regimes annimmt, um seinen Lebensunterhalt bestreiten zu können.
