Zusammenfassung
Der 1922 erschienene, 1950 revidierte und erweiterte Gedichtzyklus entstammt der frühen Schaffensperiode der Autorin und gilt als ihre innovativste Leistung. Sitwell selbst bezeichnete die 33 Gedichte als abstrakte Klangexperimente. Bekannt wurde Façade durch W. Waltons Vertonung, uraufgeführt in London 1923.
