Zussamenfassung
Der Begriff der Seele (psychê) ist für das Verständnis platonischen Philosophierens in toto von so grundlegender Bedeutung, dass man in Platon teilweise den Erfinder der philosophischen Psychologie gesehen hat: »Zentrale Bereiche platonischen Denkens wie Ideenlehre, Zweiweltenlehre und Kosmologie stehen in engem Zusammenhang mit der Seelenlehre. In der Tat finden wir eine eigentliche Psychologie erst bei Platon« (Erler 2007, 378).
