Abstract
Ankylosing spondylitis (AS) is a chronic progressive inflammatory disease, which primarily affects sacroiliac joints and axial skeleton with some extraarticular manifestations. Presented are basic pathophysiology, clinical findings, diagnostics, and treatment of AS.
