Abstract
Fibromyalgia is a complex and incompletely understood condition associated with bodywide chronic pain, poor sleep, and other complaints affecting multiple body systems. Fibromyalgia appears to result from dysfunctional central pain processing. This chapter summarizes the latest knowledge of epidemiology, definition, pathophysiology, and treatment options for this condition.
