Abstract

Headache is a very common chief complaint in the emergency department (ED) and office setting. While most patients will present with a primary headache disorder it is important to be alert to signs and symptoms that suggest serious underlying pathology or a secondary headache disorder. In this chapter we will review warning signs and the diagnostic approach.
