Abstract
‘Very Low Frequency’ (VLF) is one of the bands of Radio waves having frequencies lying between 3 and 30 kHz, with wavelengths of 100–10 km. It propagates through the Earth-ionosphere wave-guide which is formed by lower part of the ionosphere and upper part of Earth’s surface. One of the most important application of this signal is that it could be used for predicting earthquakes. In this present article we shall mainly discuss how VLF signals could be used for predicting the seismic activities.
